CaroYacu is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to empowering and educating the future stewards of the Amazon rainforest, ensuring that students have access to the tools they need for learning while also preserving their ancestral knowledge.
CaroYacu's Story
Since 2012, Caro Villegas has been dedicated to delivering school kits to communities in the Amazon Basin. This year, we made a significant impact by distributing school kits to over 5,000 students across 88 communities along 14 different rivers in the Amazon. These essential educational supplies are helping students in one of the world's most remote and biodiverse regions pursue their studies.
Following this impactful distribution, we established the nonprofit organization CaroYacu, based in the USA. CaroYacu's commitment continues to drive our efforts to bridge the educational gap in these underserved areas, providing ongoing support and resources to ensure these young learners can succeed and thrive.
